Lesson 2 Part 1: The Secret Annexe

Last week, we met Anne Frank for the first time.

Read PAGE 3 of your textbook to remind yourself of key historical facts.

In 1933, Anne Frank and her family moved from Germany to Holland, as Hitler's Nazi Party introduced anti-Jewish laws.

In 1940, however, Germany occupies Holland and introduces the same laws there.

In 1942, Anne's sister, Margot, is summoned to report to a labour camp. As such, the family decides to go into hiding in the Secret Annexe.

    the place looks nice but also a little creepy.
    but if i do not have a choice because of my survival,i will still stay there until afetr the war. : )

    It might be very terrible and scary because there will be 7 other people who will be living in the Secret Annexe for 2 years ..
    I would feel scared but for the sake for my survival , I will perservere and BE STRONG ;D

    I find it is rather boring as I need to hide in order not to be caught be our enemy. I would not want to live as I hate boring life. I like interesting life

    I would feel very lonely and bored,no electronic gadgets...no this..no that...If I don't die of the people finding me,I would die of boredom...though...the place looks alittle nice and cosy:)

    I believed i'll be bored to death . Because two years living in the place without leaving the house is miserble for me . I believed i couldn't take it if it was to be me -.- Laughs . Burt as for an outsider like me , the place do look beautiful to me . Though the bedroom for anna frank is abit too small .
    As it was to be me , i sure die deh . Boring andd nothing to do . Cannot take it at all . LOLS ! :D

    Yihui : I find it very boring to stay in the house, being restricted to go out. or do other activities which is forbidden to do. Erm... maybe can use com to surf the net & play computer games. (:

    The place is very deserted , and people might had a hard life there .

    Ian here,i feel that staying in the secret annexe is like......exciting,fearful and SCARY.I feel that anne frank is very pitiful 'cause she had to stay in such a tiny house.Iwonder how she managed in doing that,staying in there for two years?!!!!!!!

    The whole family will be suffering there.
