Lesson 4 Part 2: The Helpers of the Secret Annexe

Five people helped the people living in the Secret Annexe. They are:

1. Mr. Voskuijl - In Diary Entry 2, Anne mentions that he built the bookshelf that hides the entrance to the Annexe.

2. Mr. Victor Kugler - Same as above.

3. Ms. Bep Voskuijl - She joins the inhabitants of the Annexe for dinner in Diary Entry 3.

4. Ms. Miep Gies - Anne mentions her in Diary Entry 4. Her husband, Jan Gies, argues with the Annexe inhabitants in Diary Entry 4 as well.

5. Mr. Joseph Kleiman - Mentioned in Diary Entry 4. Someone suggests that Kleiman and his family hide in the Annexe as well if Holland is flooded.

    I feel sad for the people who helped the Jews..
    i feel sad for the way things ended for the inhabitants of the Secret Annexe..

    I think they are very brave as they are taking a great risk as there are penalties by helping the jews.

    1.I think that the people helping jews are very kind and they willing to risk their lives to help them.
    2.I think that it is a bad ending as only left otto who survive.

    1) I find that they are very kind and courageous to help the jewish despite the fact that they are not allow to help the Jewish and helping someone during that time is very dangerous.
    2) I find that Anne Frank and the others died miserably, without leading a happy and a proper burial.

    1) I felt that they are helpful and kind enough to help them . In between they might get harm as well because they ain't suppose to . This show that they are really brave .

    2) I felt sad and sorry . They shouldn't have die because they have no fault at all . They just human like anyone of us or them . Poor thing ):

    1. I think they're kind as, they prevent them from getting killed, and even risks their life to help them.
    2. I think it's a bad ending and it's pretty sad as everyone died, except Otto.

    They helps people like them who needs their help a lot.

    2.I feel sad for them, ending it in such ways.
    Pity them, as one betrays, the other seven die because of that. Sad& pathetic ending.

    1. I think those people who helped the Jews are very helpful and kind toward their own race but in the end they ended up very pitiful...pity...

    2.i feel that it is not a very good ending as only otto frank survives...
